Product Review of Nonin 9500 Onyx™ Digital Finger Pulse Oximeter - 5 Year Drop Inclusive Warranty

	Fantastic!!!! I`m a Community Respiratory Nurse and have used Oximeters for some years now - usually the Nonin Onyx. I had a really bad experience with a "cheap n nasty" Finger Oximeter owned by a patient in the community. At normal perfusion levels there was little difference against the Onyx but as the Sats dropped the cheap Oximeter just lost track and was clearly inaccurate. The Onyx is accurate at all times and especially when it counts ie when the patient is ill. I know the Onyx is accurate at all perfusions (checked by our local hospital medical engineers) never loses track and maintains accuracy during motion. With the Onyx you get a proper Professional quality Oximeter - I`ve never seen ANY of the cheapo`s in hospitals where they can test oximeters accuracy properly before they let them be used. I`ll still be using my Onyx in 10 years time!

	Ordered at 3pm and arrived next day by courier at 9.30am. Real quality and as I am a nurse I need accuracy as well. We have used these at work for years now and they seem bullet proof and just a accurate as the big super expensive all singing and dancing monitors. In fact we have to use the Onyx sometimes when patients with really low perfusions will not pick up and give readings on other monitor. Recommended - Best product and warranty on the market.

	This is the best finger tip pulse oximeter I have seen or used!! I have used some cheaper units in the past as a Paramedic, but none have given the reliability and accuracy that you require at the scene of an acute emergency. Infact I have seen cheaper units give false readings, and obviously that can lead to unecessary treatment or admission to hospital!!! Anyone looking for a finger tip pulse ox unit, should never be tempted with a cheaper one. For the prehospital professional there is only one choice! Thanks to neil at proactmedical for your advice!

	The Onyx was recommended by my son who is a paramedic with London Ambulance Service where they use them. PROACT has really friendly, patient helpful advice from lovely staff - thank you Jennie. Their advice saved me from buying extra products I didn`t need and saved me lots of money. They really know their stuff and the clinical side and made sure that I understood exactly how to use the Onyx. It was amazingly easy and they set my mind at rest. A really good warranty and free next day loaner should I have a problem gives me peace of mind.
